Antwerp, 12-14 June 2012

DSP Data and System Planning will participate to the TOC Europe 2012 event, the global forum for Ports, Terminal Operators, Shipping Lines, 3PL's and BCO's where you can meet the people who own, move & handle large volumes of containers. Marco Fehmer will speak at the Seminar session Optimising Terminal Processes: Virtual Terminals & Live Operation. Attend this workshop and hear our expert panel discuss the latest developments in simulation technology for terminal operations. Key topics include:

  • Utilising a holistic approach with simulation technology: From planning to live operations
  • Balancing efficiency, cost and ecological needs using simulation models
  • Usage of in-house simulation tools to optimise terminal processes

DSP NAVIS visited with Navis Westports Malaysia to present NAVIS SPARCS advanced applications: Expert Decking, Autostow and Prime Route Terminal Tractor

DSP has agreed a partnership with ISL Applications GmbH

DSP has recently agreed a partnership with ISL Applications GmbH company to distribute the CHESSCON software and provide consultancy and services on container terminal simulation software.

The combination of NAVIS SPARCS N4 and ISL CHESSCON is the winning solution to get the maximum benefit from your Terminal Operations System by advanced application tuning, training and what if scenario. Through this important partnership says Marco Fehmer, DSP General Manager- DSP is now able to provide a turnkey solution acting as a single interface between software producers and terminal operators, ensuring immediate and measurable results from simulation studies thanks to a concrete and operational approach to the problem that DSP consultants achieved through their business experience in the terminal across the years.

Chesscon utilizes visualization, simulation and emulation to aid the operators strategic and tactical planning as well as the start-up of new terminal components. The CHESSCON software will optimize the terminal day-to-day operations by ?ne tuning TOS parameters and training the control sta? to become grandmasters in terminal operation. CHESSCON TERMINAL VIEW creates a 3d container terminal in a fast and easy way (valuable tool for planning, presenting and marketing). CHESSCON VIRTUAL TERMINAL provides a 3d model of a complete container terminal with all of its equipment and reacts like a real terminal (easily to connect to any existing TOS). CHESSCON CAPACITY is recognized worldwide tool for evaluating quaysides capacity and calculating the optimal number of cranes needed, as well as the num ber of slots per container type.
