DSP at TOC EUROPE – 9-10 June – Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands
We would like to invite you to visit us at TOC Europe 2015 (9-11 June, Rotterdam).
Wednesday morning, 10:30, BULK Theatre, our General Manager Marco Fehmer will participate to the interactive workshop: “Process automation - ideas, implementation and case studies”.
The workshop will give insights in the opportunities for running terminals to optimise their processes. By using sensors and IT (sub-) systems (PDS, RFID in external trucks, scan the block to find best trajectories for the crane, etc.) terminal's productivity and the utilisation of the equipment may be increased by avoiding unnecessary waiting times.
The workshop will give insights to process automation by presenting the ideas and the basics needed. Furthermore it will show how implementation may be done step by step using case studies.
You may meet us at ISL booth E140, directly at the entrance of TECH TOC.
DSP completed successfully its work at MICT “Manila International Container Terminal”, Philippines
DSP completed successfully its work at MICT “Manila International Container Terminal”, Philippines. The first part of the consultancy has been the Prime Route & Expert Decking configuration, then DSP gave its support for the upgrade from 2.2 to 220.127.116.11 Navis XPS and for the Go Live. MICT is part of ICTSI group - International Container Terminal Services Inc- a pioneer in the acquisition, development, management and operation of container ports and terminals worldwide.
DSP has successfully participated in the 10th biennial Navis World conference.
More than 300 marine terminal executives, directors, managers and IT personnel from around the world have been in San Francisco from March 29 to April 1st. DSP has hold two sessions: “Optimizing Terminal Operations with Kalmar Smartport” and “From Data Migration to Optimization: The Full Project Lifecycle of MCT”.
Join DSP at Navis World 2015!
DSP will hold two sessions at Navis World, San Francisco, Ca, USA.
“Optimizing Terminal Operations with Kalmar Smartport”, March 30, 2.15 pm
“From Data Migration to Optimization: The Full Project Lifecycle of MCT”, March 30, 4.25 pm
During the first Session, Francisco Bahnson, Project Manager at DSP and John Scott, VP Automation, Kalmar, will explain the benefits of process automation. Automation technologies such as D GPS, RFID and OCR capture information automatically which allows terminals to optimize the assignments of jobs and the movement of equipment, increasing the efficiency and security of marine terminal operations. In this presentation, you will leave with a concrete understanding of the benefits that can be realized, by addressing projects recently deployed at SPRC and TecPlata.
During the second Session, Marco Fehmer, General Manager at DSP will present how the 3.5 Million TEU mega hub of Gioia Tauro, part of Contship Italia Group has successfully migrated from Cosmos to Navis N4. The project has been the result of team work of MCT, DSP and NAVIS and has touched all aspect of a TOS migration in a fully operational terminal with over 2,000 employees. This session will present all aspects of this project including process review, legacy system interface, training, optimization improvement, technology upgrade have been duly analysed and deployed leading to a new era for the terminal in 18 months of project.
